Default The 20th. was really good.

    Hi to you all,
The Down Under Turn Around, had their 20th. get together Last weekend.
We were promised Rain, but all we got was beautiful Sunshine.
We had Richard Raffan there, along with Giulio Marcolongo, Ken Wraight, Vic Wood & an 91 year old Turner, using an elderly Elu Wood Lathe, that his Son had put Variable Speed on it. The Amazing part was he was Turning a 2ft. long Segmented Vase. He has already made a few for his Grandchildren. It takes 1hr. to do 1 ring.
Irene & Jim were there doing a rather brisk business, along with Pauline & Neil Ellis of U-Beaut, as well as attending the wood show at Caulfield, to The Forum Stand.
    Took some great Photos.
The Flu had a say in the No. of Turners attending,as there were only 104 there.
I forgot this time to count the Lathes, but there wood have had to be at least 60.
A Great Weekend was had by all.
    Regards,
    issatree.

A good weekend had by all. Plenty of turning, watching turning & talking about turning. Alan's open segmented vase os over 3000 pieces was fantastic.
