This took 8 months.
It is 8 months since I did a segmented job. The patterned top section has been floating around the workshop for about two years It was supposed to have been a clock face, but it only had ten segments, maybe it could have been a metric clock????? . Made from black bean and silver ash, it measures 250mm diameter and 150mm high. It is not yet finished as I was trying to dodge the reflections. It will be sprayed with lacquer and buffed with EEE. C and C as usual are always welcome, there is always room for improvement.

segmented bowl
Terrific effort Powderpost. Patience is a virtue. I think it would have worn me down over 8 months.
My interest span is about 1 month, as long as I have several projects on the go at the same time. Drillit.

Jim how did get permission off LOYL to spend that much time in the shed...........or was it a case of only place you were aloud??
As always a beaut work well planned out and executed Like the Blackbean obviously you have no problem working it. I found my two boards yesterday and have noted in big RED letters "wear a mask" on it

Thank you gentlemen for the comments. I think you have miss understood my comments in the post. It only took four days to make, but eight months to get back into segmenting.

Excellent work as usual Jim, I am astounded by your accuracy where the patterns meet, also love the little pattern of the overlapping squares in the bottom, top job.

Jim, you're a master in segmented work, in creating beautiful shapes as well as in patterns. This is a real eye catcher.
Very beautiful work, I admire your skills.
