    I use it for a straight cut down the edge and then cut across the base to get a sharp corner of a particular bowl we do.

    Try this for a cut on a swept back wing. Support the bevel with the cutting edge parallel to the rotation. Pull or push don't matter.

    You should have seen it before he started. It had been sharpened by me by hand many times and lost it's shape
