Haven't tried the Arbortech style carving attachment yet, but I do have this one. Its a Chain carver that bolts on to the grinder and I guess it means you can sharpen the teeth. Cant tell you the difference, but I know it is quite aggressive....and a little scary.

I also have the Lancelot carver. And yes, you can sharpen the teeth. I'd strongly advise lots of practice on firewood before trying it on something of consequence, so you can better predict how it wants to go. By any means possible (EXCEPT YOUR OWN OR ANYBODY ELSE'S BODY PARTS), secure the workpiece while cutting. With practice, I can almost duplicate the finish of a belt sander. My left great toe is still intact, but it doesn't bend the same as its brother.
King Arthur's HQ is in Tallahassee. I forget Art's last name; only met him once IIRC, and that only at a WW show several years ago. Their chains are made by Oregon, so they're good quality.

Another one is Rotary Chisel brand, 3 grades, and half the price of Arbortech. I use one at work and works just as good as the original Arbortech, but I haven't tried their latest offering.

As well as those mentioned, I think there are a few other varieties with carbide "encrusted" steel discs for angle grinders available at the usual woodwork euipment retailers.
