I'm with you Neil - there's always something else you can do for five minutes while it dries properly under it's own steam

Back home at last. Thanks to all of you for making us feel so welcome, especially Julie and . In fact i can no longer mention Melbourne and a second port is packed. I also appreciate the introduction to the word "thou", not sure yet what it means, but I will soon.. Thanks John!!!!

especially Julie and .I can second that
The Turn on at Grumpys was good as all our gatherings are.
It was great as far as I was concerned because I had to do nothing for a change.
Jims demo on thread chasing, DJ's CA finishing and Peters WOP were all good and informative.
It was good to catch up with Andrew and his lovely Canadian bride and the other Forumites.
Thanks DJ for sharpening the chainsaw.
Good demos, good food, great company and plenty of BS. How better to spend a Saturday?

DJ came this afternoon to see what our problem was and it turned out to be our technique.
Firstly the opening in the tip of the CA container was too big and way too much CA was getting onto the blanks, which caused ripples and clouding when sprayed with accelerator.
Secondly the paper towel we were using was too absorbent and too thin.
Finally we were applying it from left to right rather then alternate so an uneven cover was applied and we were not holding the CA bottle so that we could see the drops coming out.
The glue and accelerator itself was fine.
Thanks DJ for coming over and your masterclass, it is greatly appreciated.
Peter.
