Get there first with your tools ready to go, free tuition is good.
It does help if you have some nice timber to give him.

I've never caught anything in freshwater except for carp, ever.
Saltwater I'm ok, surf, lures, poppers, plastics, bait even the black art of luderick fishing with weed.
