I think not. Rose engines don't run at 'high speed.'
"Because the lathe cuts in a circle, only a highly skilled turner could use it to carve eccentric, irregular shapes."
True... but these goblets were cut on a Rose Engine, not a lathe. That's like calling someone a Master Sculptor because they can load and run a program on a CNC mill.
Still, misinformation aside, a mildly interesting, if rather florid, article.
And I would be quite happy if I could include one or two of those pieces in my collection...
