G'day Chris - Welcome to the Bulletin Board. I need a little convincing.
Are these courses genuinely 100% relative to Australia, Australian timbers, and all things to do with the Australian timber industry or are they really American courses with in Australia tacked onto the end of the course name?
Us Aussies would look prettty stupid shelling out around A$1,000 for a course from a country who's timber sellers profess to be selling Koala Burl. Do you also have the same courses with - in Europe, in South America, in America, etc. tacked onto the end of the name or are these genuine courses for genuine Aussies?
Just my curious and slightly distrusting nature at work. How about a bit of info on some of the Aussie content of the course.
Convince me and this posting can stay. Don't and it's gone. I won't have this Bulletin Board used for anything that may be misleading and not in the interest of our members or Australian woodworkers in general.

Neil, if that includes air fares and accomodation that is good value, otherwise a Bachelor of Gumnuts from Creswick will have to do.
I am sure that RMIT and other uni's offer credibble courses at a much better rate, and with hands on local content. (Just like you are trying to say).Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

Dear Neil,
The 7 listings in my previous posting are all titles of wood market studies. All 7 studies focus 100% on the Australian market, and have been written by Australian consultants.
I hope you've not been mislead towards believing Aktrin is an American school of higher learning. We are a Canadian based Research Institute with offices and consultants around the globe.
I have much more information to offer but as you mentioned, I'll respect your choice and only bring the relevant Australian titles to your board.
Thank you and kind regards,
Chris Gallivan
