    Default Turning Bangles

I cut some holes into thin planks of ash with a pair or hole saws to make the blank. I made a mandrel to suit the inside diameter and screwed that to the screwchuck. Turned the outside flat. Marked the holes if any. Drilled and filled with pieces cut with plug cutters. Trimmed of the excess, and turned to shape. A bit of sanding. Sanding sealer, Craflac and wax to finish off. Presents for friends and family.

neat idea and great execution. The contrasting plugs certainly give them a lift.

Very well done. And DIY gifts outshine store-bought almost every time.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I have just started to make some matching rings in ash. Fat fronts with a couple of small contrasting circular inlays. I have just started polishing the first one.
