    Default even more bangles

    G'day
Here is a new design I have just developed . I suppose it would be called resin segmented . The red and green ones are silky oak and the purple ones camelia .For further details look in the casting and stabilization section .
Also I have a couple of bottlebrush bangles . I have been making these for some time, but don't think I have posted a picture before . These are always popular but I have difficultys sourcing suitable blanks .I have to find a branch that is the right diameter and close to round, then I have to dry them without them splitting . Even though I seal both faces with wax , I usually loose about 1/3d . The bark is stabilized with CA glue .
The bangles are coated with Cabothane polyurathane.
    Comments welcome .

Nicely done Ted. Have you tried boring the center out of a branch or rough turning the bangles to see if it helps with drying

    No Tony
I hav'nt tried boring them out green . It would be very hard to mount if I did that . Have a look in Casting and Stabilisation section . There is much more detail of the process there.
