Bob depending on what type of belt it is. IE vee or multi vee. Either way standard vee A or B section are readily available through any decent engineering supply store such as Blackwood, Hare and Forbes and a host of smaller ones. The multifin type are a bit more difficult the same suppliers above will have the knowledge of where to go. Along with many bearing suppliers will have stock on hand as well.
All machine manufacturers use standard belts and none that I know of make their own, you can deal with them but you will pay more. As for getting the right belt etc, all belts come with the relevant info stamped on them, length, section etc. Try and avoid cheap chinese belts as they will shred always go for the quality.
