Default Benefits of buying two lathes to make one

Bought two old teknatools a while ago to make one and have spare parts.
Got a long turning job in today and I'm happy with the setup so far, still have to get a better stand made up to fit the 2 metre bed.
and was thinking of doing away with the alloy foot and using the other headstock on the foot end and use it for bowls/face plate work with a pedestal toolrest. One day!

Wouldn't mind seeing a picture or two of your double bedded lathe?

Will do over the Christmas break, I have to see my tame metal worker to weld up the stands. At the moment it's just a lathe with 2 toolrests, the old yellow and black model.

I had to do the same thing a couple weeks ago for a customer that wanted two 9' columns
