Blanks from OS
Had a surprise this afternoon Peggy a 93 yr old lady I have known for many years and her son David had rumudged through the bins down at Tamania Special Timbers in Strauhn in south west Tasmania and picked out 3 beautiful blocks of Huon Pine a block of Celery Top Pine and a bowl blank of Blackhearted Sasafras.
Any turners from Sydney may know of her late husband Phil Dicker he was a member of Sydney Woodturners and Bankstown branch.

Overseas
Artme
Please excuse me if I am wrong, but you don't need to have any concerns about moving timber from Tasmania 'overseas' to the East coast of Australia as no customs laws would have been breached through this action. Tasmania, despite all the rumours, is still part of Australia.

Ray, bad news, the Sassy and Celery Top are too big for your little Nova. As good a bloke as I am, I'll take them off your hands for free.

I seen your place and know you are tight with space. I agree with Pat, let him store it at his place.

Pat you may have something there might have to think about buying a bigger lathe.
Christos your also right I now must re-organise the stash to accommodate these pieces.
Ideal thing would be to finish a few jobs/projects and do some serious turning and other woodwork.
Unlike some who sit at the keyboard all day long I am slowly due to weather/cold in my shed doing a bit each day.
Have you like Pat fitted your shed heating system yet.
