No taste, any of you, no taste.
I think I'll place a bid and sell my 'manufactured' one

At least mine looked like a lathe even though it was homemade, BTW I wouldn't have bothered to try and sell it, I'm making a linisher/disc sander out of it.

I admire the creativity behind that device. It's in the best bush tradition. Fencing wire would make it perfect.

Bugger, caught out , now, if you used a blunt roughing gouge and applied a fair amount of pressure I suppose you could call it variable speed
What speed do those motors spin at anyway?
I also loved the range of accessories, didn't recognise one of them............except the plug

whilst necessity maybe the mother of invention.

Optimism here is not sufficient to over come the practical reality of a boat anchor.

Default Must be at least 3hp

Think I'll pass on that lathe, it looks way too powerful for me and my tools.

Got my bid in! Failing that, I have a bigger version of the motor sitting under my bench in the shed - perhaps I'll replace the motor in my GMC lathe...
