Hi Vern,
Yep - gets to look a bit unrealistic after a while!
All's well over here now that we've had some of that wet stuff from above - the drought was really getting quite serious. Only 290mm over a 12 month period really got things a bit parched.
Started harvesting sand out of the river for a while - at least it's now got water in it again.Cheers,
Andy

20th June is the dinner dance and apparently later in the year there is a "race day" where the remainder will be auctioned.
I am still in touch with Trevor and i can tell you they were stoked when my daughter took the items down there in the first week in june.
Cheersregards

Thanks John for the BUMP - sent another email earlier this week after a phone call last week.
Seems he is waiting for the woman who counts the money to come back from leave to answer his email so he can answer mine.
Sounds complicated but i am still trying to get some figures for all.
Cheersregards
David

Received a reply email from CF Victoria today.
Hi David,<o></o><o></o>
I hope you are well.<o></o><o></o>
Sorry I missed your call last week.<o></o><o></o>
The dinner dance went really well and we auctioned 4 items and put x2 small bowls as 3 separate $50 tombola prizes.<o></o><o></o>
Edited so as not to reveal individual prices;- 3 of the bowls sold for over $650 -
<o></o><o></o>
I am still waiting for the details of the last bowl.<o></o><o></o>
Thanks again<o></o><o></o>
Kind regards
So that is as much as i know at the moment but they have raised almost $1000 so far along with the prizes.
The remainder of the entries will be sold at their "race day" at flemington races i think in Sept or November
Forgive my ignorance/sheltered upbringing but what is a tombola prizes.
Thanks again to all entrants
Cheers
regards
David

A tombola is a type of raffle.
$650 for 3 of the bowls? Wowsers! I reckon I can make a good guess as to two of 'em.
