Default Two Bowls from one nut

I will blame Joe Griener for this one last night a friend gave me a kilo of macadamier nuts and Joe's natural edge hollow form played on my mind off and on today so when I finished the job I was doing I grabed a nut and down to the lathe. As I already had the soft jaws on I was able to grip the nut so. With the bottom of nut exposed i turned the base sanded and parted from top of nut then proceded to hollow the inside of top section in the mean time ate the nut, at this stage I had one outside and one inside turned so with the aid of a thin stick I was able to re chuck the pieces to do the inside of bace and out side of the top sand with 340/400 a wipe of oil and two nut bowls.

    Cheers Tony

I think the heading should be "one nut turns two nuts". Good job Tony.

you could always sell them on the internet as 'Nut Bowls'. I wonder how many people would realise it holds 1

Lots of lovely nut related puns available here. Most shouldn't be posted
