Bragging again
Some of the guys at my club talked me in to entering the Hawksbury Show. The argument was that I had some success at Blacktown and should continue. and much to my delight I was awarded a first, best exhibit and a highly commended
The Highly comended was for a burl clock that was entered in the open division with the First and Best exhibit in the novice division
I am particularly thrilled with the Clock as the standard of the open division was very high and I did not expect to to rate a mention
The burl Bowl is finished with about 10 coats of Organ Oil burnished with 0000 steel wool and the clock is finished with 6 coats of Mirrortone Mirralac 3020 precaterlised lacquer
cut with 0000 steel wool between coats
Love your comments

A most braggable effort. Well done. Isn't it the Amish quilters that purposely add a mistake to their work because, to their way of thinking, only God is perfect. Hence the upside down 8.
