    Fantastic work, Pat. Burls are my favourite, and you have definitely done this one justice . So far, I have only done one natural edge bowl and it reminded me of my schooldays. Remember when the teacher used to rap us across the knuckles? My work on the natural edge bowl had the same effect - jeez it hurt! . But my reflexes improved out of sight.

    Made a chessboard involving mallee (from kangaroo island) lovely stuff -there was even odd flashes of Yellow within it. Most recent -is what gets fed to Melbourne as firewood - Very dark red -kinda like jarrah. Scary to put through the band saw. Also nice -but harder to see the details.

    That is grand The first pic the actual bowl bit looks like a dissected organ, maybe a lung!
