Bud Vases
Two weed pots the wood does not need an introduction but just in case someone does not know it is the king of woods for grain and colour YEW.
Turned these today and got bored on the second one so added a captive ring to it. The photo makes one of them look as if it is leaning but rest assured it is not I had them both on the table by and double checked then realised that I had put a piece of MDF under the white backdrop that I use and forgot to take it out.

While i admire Yew I might argue with your assessment of its place in the hierarchy pf timbers!!
