    Default camphor hollow form with lid/finial

    hi guys just finished this H/F on the weekend,only small
    180mmx90mm,camphor laurel ,i think the lid and finial was
    jacaranda,finished with D.O. EEE and glow,
    any comments and advice welcome as always

    I love the timber but for me the lower section could have come in to a smaller diameter foot.

    Nice smart finial as well.

    I like the sharp delineation between the top and
    bottom of the form and the shape and size of the finial.

    I think a smaller foot would have given it more lift. Then the finial would be a bit heavy for it.

    hi guys thanks to all for your comments,
    for the lid and finial i used spirit stain and lacquer
    it dries really quick and soaks right in to the timber
    and i think it gives a nice finish,be warned a little goes a long way
    and also makes a bloody big mess of your hands for a
    few days afteri suppose i should have worn gloves
    but that would be to easy wouldn't it
