Jim I have a Carbatec slow grind bench grinder that I think would be perfect for a CBN, but it has a weird connection to the axle. I now all the wheels I previously had don't fit it.
What is the exact size of the bore and depth of bore on the wheels, is the recess on both sides or just one etc?Neil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

What grit are the wheels? Also, is the CBN electroplated on the steel, or is it a matrix?

robo hippy I wondered that myself so I had a better look at the pics on their site and they are electroplated, this is obviously reflected in the price, no one sells vitrified/matrix type wheels at that price being for home use they would outlast a traditional alox wheel, the grit from Jim is 170 -200

My matrix wheels set me back $300 each, and are 1 inch wide. Since this wheel is wider, it still costs a bit less. I am guessing the extra cost compared to the D Way wheels is due to the CBN on the side of the wheel.

Jim C, you mentioned that the CBN bore was 32mm, does it come with bushes for grinders with smaller shafts or is only dedicated to grinders with that size shafts?
