Celadon
This one is Camphor Laurel, approx 6 dia and 7 high finished with WOP then buffed a little. This one wouldn't fit the rule of thirds as its based on a Asian shape especially the curved lip

Good-on-ya-Hughie!!! Yet another masterpiece. You do such a nice job of them. I have yet to even grasp the concept let alone trying to emulate your talents.
Just do it!
Kind regards Rod

Rules like thirds and golden means are there to save the world from a clutter of ugly forms made by those who haven't yet developed, or will never develop, their own internalised eye for form.
When we are ready to graduate from those rules, we don't so much break them but intuitively elaborate on them and create new variations that reference the underlying forms that are found throughout nature.
Perfectly resolved form there, Hughie.Stay sharp and stay safe!

Celadon? Stunning work, but why did you call it that? Celadon refers to a particular coloured glaze.

It was inspired by a particular Korean ceramic artist Yeung-an Jang of some of his double layered stoneware vessels. I didnt really have a name and this seemed to fit, .....well with some poetic license....
