Cannot Change
Some at Proserpine saw me starting these tops & I finally finished them off today with nitro cellulose lacquer 30% using a small elcheapo SCA air brush. Spindle in jarrah, disc in unknown palm and Qld Silver Ash. The palm turned as palm does and being endgrain I had some issues in keeping the "matrix" together.

A stunning result. Did you stabilise the palm with epoxy or similar? I like the combination of colours and texture. I hope the useless palms I'm about to remove may finally have a use instead of making an absolute mess with the seed pods.

Beautiful job, not sure if it is warranted for a spinning top, but they do look great.
