Chestnut vase/open turning
Just finished this Chestnut Burr today it stands 6 1/2" tall by 6 1/2" across. Finished with sander sealer and satin lacquer, I then gave it a wax with woodwax22 as the satin finish was not what I wanted but the high gloss would have been too glossy.
Well it could have been a knuckle buster kept all parts of me in the safe zone behind the rest.

Thats a nice piece Derek and the finish suits it. I like the effect of the natural edge and voids, give it character.
