    Default Chrissie "Present"

Hi all, my brother didn’t get me a Christmas present this year, so I raided his firewood pile. This very tall weed pot, measuring 11” x 3½ “, was hiding in an old red gum post. Thanks bro, you shouldn’t have. The figure in the wood didn’t appear till the very end.
Happy New Year to all. Cheers Harry

Having mode to this (our new and hopefully last) home in May, I'm still exploring the area.

I found the local 'Wood recycling centre' about a month ago, they had some real manky looking fencepost - best I go buy a few!

I'm always amaised at what hides inside some of the mankiest looking bits of wood. That's a cracker. Lovely shape!!

There's a HUGE gum tree just around the corner that has died and with the wind that's blowing I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't come down soon. Is it any good for turning???
My ambition is to grow old disgracefully. So far my ywife recons that I'm doing quite well! John.

Thanks for your comments. The other half of this orrible looking fence post just had to be turned. Had no choice, it just sat there looking at me saying "what about me?" Might make a nice present for someones brother.

The 'generosity' of your Brother-in-Law knows no bounds!

I'm sure someone would be pleased to give this as a 'gift'!
