I use a 3/8 3 skip tooth for nearly everything. Peninsula Saw Sharpening in Carrum Downs is where I get them.

Like , 3/8 3tpi blade with the back of the blade dressed to ease the sharp corners.

I have to make another circle cutting jig, now for the new Hammer.

Well, I think a 1/2 inch blade will cut a 5 inch diameter circle pretty easily. Blade thickness is important as well, and I prefer thicker, which I think is 0.035, but am not sure. I don't know decimals very well. My local bandsaw blade maker asked me what I was cutting and he told me. I do use bimetal blades that are made for cutting wood, and especially green wood. They need some set to the teeth to clear out the dust.
