    Default coolabah wing bowl

    G'day
This is a bowl I finished recently .It is 440mm across the wings and the bowl is 240mm . Although I can spin 480mm on my lathe , I had to mount it a bit off centre because the thickest part of the burl was off centre . You can see a small flat on the wing where I had to cut a bit off to get clearance .This was a very dry burl and rock hard . Even with a brand new knife in my bowl saver it was a hard battle to core out but I managed to save a 215mm bowl from it . The finish is DO .
    Hope you like it .
    Ted
