Thanks for posting. I learned a few new things, had some things reinforced.
This would make a good sticky for new turners.
I see many of the same questions asked over and over by new turners. These are patiently answered by the more experienced, over and over.
Several threads covering: what lathe should I buy, what chuck, what tool, etc., grouped under a "For New Turners" sticky at the top might keep from having the same set of questions answered every three months.
The search function is a great help, but you have to know the right question to ask.So much timber, so little time.
