    Default Dale Nish - Q&A

Nish is a grand old man of US turning and the Woodturning Design mag website posts his answers to questions sent in by subscribers.

There's a lot to learn from his answers though on a couple of matters at least I think he's a bit behind the times.

    Ern,

Thanks for posting. I learned a few new things, had some things reinforced.

This would make a good sticky for new turners.

I see many of the same questions asked over and over by new turners. These are patiently answered by the more experienced, over and over.

Several threads covering: what lathe should I buy, what chuck, what tool, etc., grouped under a "For New Turners" sticky at the top might keep from having the same set of questions answered every three months.

The search function is a great help, but you have to know the right question to ask.
So much timber, so little time.

    Paul
