Neil, I may have missed it, but did you get the info on the sizes, ie hole diameter and width of wheel?
-

No, you didn't miss it, I did.
Brendan's grinder has 5/8" arbor as the sample ones he got from China were that and he said he only had to get a spacer for his 6" grinder. So assumed that he put the 8" Woodcraft one on the same 8" grinder with the 5/8" shaft. But didn't check on the width. Will do so now.
Thanks for the prompt.

Thanks Neil, I was afraid of that!
My grinder has a 16mm shaft, 5/8" = 15.88mm, I don't think that is going to work.

Brendan's import initiative is having some holds ups so he has suggested we proceed with our Woodcraft bulk buy.
OK, first thing is how we will handle the payment side of things.
Drawing on Ern's experience with a number of bulk buys that he has organised, he recommends the funds be collected before the order is placed. However, it's a bit tricky to know what the actual exchange rate and forex fees will be in advance of placing the order.
So, this is the way I propose we do it:
Payment 1: To cover the wheel price + shipping cost from US. This will be A$163 based on US$156.17 per wheel, converted to A$ at the current exchange rate of 0.986c + 3% for the forex conversion fee.
Payment 2: To cover local postage costs + or - any variation between the the 'initial' exchange rate and the actual exchange rate that applied at the time of making the US$ payment.
I will provide my bank account details which I will provide via Personal Messages shortly for the funds transfers .
I also need to start collecting your real world names and address details , if I don't have them already, via Private Messaging in preparation for the mail out for when the wheels arrive.
I've assumed that everyone who has indicated an interest is still in. If not, I need to know soon because that will change the calculations on the cost per wheel.
Thanks

I would think that any machine shop would be able to mount the wheels on a lathe and bore the proper size. I had it done with my CBN wheels which are on an aluminum core, just like the diamond ones.
