    Default DIY Calipers etc

    Had a break from turning. Made a few tools to help when I start again. Fabanicci Gauge "Golden Mean" Made from old "plastic" sign, studs from Ebay (My friend)
    2013-06-30 03.55.28.jpg2013-06-30 03.55.38.jpg2 Calipers as I couldn't find any big enough for my vases. 1 @ 24" & 1 @ 18" ( 600mm & 460mm)
    2013-06-30 03.57.36.jpg2013-06-30 04.02.03.jpg2013-06-30 04.02.42.jpg2 centre finders for round blanks, 1 @ 12 & 1 @15" (300 & 380mm) Made from 6mm MDF & stoppers from Chemistry suppliers.

    Nice job Col, the centre finder reminds me of one I made at school some years ago.

    I know they are nothing special but thought it would show how easy these things are to make.

    I made the calipers & centre finders purely through necessity as I couldn't find any that size.
    The Fabanicci gauge was just for fun, although it will be handy for getting proportions correct when designing vases etc.
