epoxy resin
Howdy, its a shame resin is so expensive to buy. I'm all about the wood but resin can save pieces you couldn't necessarily use (I most do bowls). Do correctly it can be a fantastic addition. I've tried a few of the different brand resins and had no issue but even the cheaper ones are still expensive! Does anyone have favourites that are good value for money?

Having tried several suppliers I have settled on Barnes and have been very happy with their resins and their service. I suggest that you get on their mailing list and watch for their sales - 20 to 25% off, and that's when I buy them
Good hunting,
Gary

I've also tried a few different brands. These days I mostly use Eparency resins.

I used to use Platinum which was good enough for me and a decent price. I've changed two or three times since but can't remember the brands, I'll check!
A quick look on ebay, Bilnins looks like good value. 3L for $80, anyone tried it?

Still haven't check on what my current batch of resin is but will tomoz.
On a similar topic, I haven't had much luck with colour shifting pigments.
Is there a key to it like mixing super strong or adding another pigment?
I only used powders, no pastes!
