Default Which Epoxy Resin is best for deep casting objects then woodturning?

I'm pretty new to woodturning, but LOOOOVE it with a passion. I've tried to do some research on the best epoxy resin to use when you want to create something in a mould by adding the resin and then of course shape it on the lathe to create something unique and different.

The suppliers seem to want to sell you what they have, but it would be great if someone had first hand experience they could share with having casted, then turned the resin on the lathe then sanded it to have fabulous clarity and shine.

I live in Cairns so not sure if temperature or humidity would effect the Resin that would be suitable?

Thanks so much for your thoughts!

    +1 on that advice.

I also use Western Systems, but I'm far from any sort of expert on epoxy.

In an earlier life I was involved with casting larger volume items in epoxy and I can say from that experience that temperature was definitely a factor in setting time/speed.

Thankyou, I'll definitely do that. May have to buy on line - in Cairns the only ones that the suppliers have are Botecote Resin and the Nor System, not sure if any of these would be similar to what your recommending?
