You Turn Horsham
You Turn Horsham
Saturday 25th to Monday 27th of April Anzac Weekend
Horsham Show grounds
Cost $70.00 all meals provided by the lady members of the Wimmera woodies. Breakfast not included
You will need to source your own accomodation for the 2 nights.
There is cabins at one of the local caravan parks which accomodate 4 people and cost is approx $70.00
Assistance will be provided if needed to find other alternatives.
A maximum of 80 participants so for booking and further inquiries send email to me and I will pass this onto brendan.
Basically the weekend is a social weekend where you bring along your lathe and tools and play to your hearts content. It is a good weekend to chat with other woodies glean different ideas and see how other people do their turning.
As indicated it is a social weekend so a very freindly environment. There will be lots of shavings and sawdust. You can turn all day and night stopping occasionally for meals or you can simply socialise watching what others do.
It caters for all levels of acheivement from beginers to some well known turners all with the same thing in mind to help each other so dont be put of thinking you are no good as there will always be some one there to help you move forward. These will be the cheapest lessons you will ever get.
Dont worry about the size of your lathe as there is always a team of helpers there to get you unloaded and loaded up again.Jim Carroll

Thanks for adding that info Jim and I also like your offer to help unload all those big lathes. I'll provide moral support!
It should be a good weekend and was organized to promarily cater for those in the west of Victoria and even into SA who dont have such an event closer. BUT all welcome form anywhere and everywhere. Even Queenslanders and Kiwis!!
