    Default Not exactly woodturning

Received these in an email this morning and couldn't resist sharing them - maybe some inspiration for the segmented turners. They are made entirely from pencils.

A PENCIL MAKER TOLD THE PENCIL 5 IMPORTANT LESSONS
JUST BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE BOX :
1.) EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK.
2.) YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.
3.) WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.
4.) IN LIFE, YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENINGS, WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER.
5.) TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.

    Hope you enjoy them

Interesting pieces. I wonder how you would sharpen them when they become blank.

Most interesting. I wanted to forward to an artist friend, so looked on the internet for a site.

    I found this:

So much timber, so little time.

Certainly looks like the same images. I don't know where they came from except they were attached to an email which had been 'forwarded' between groups on a number of occassions and only contained the images I included. I must have a closer look at some of the other images.
