Default It's been an exciting day!

Had a very big truck turn up to my house today....

Once in the garage/workshop it was time for the unveiling.....

I am so excited to get my first bowl blank onto this baby.

    A fabulous new toy!
Next challenge is to get it off the pallet. They are a very heavy lathe, worth every kilo.

    Happy turning,

    Alan...

You're not joking about it being a challenge to get it off the pallet. Two of us, various blocks of wood and lots of sweat.
Then there was the "how do i lift it to adjust the height" moment.... one well placed car jack under one end at a time to lift and adjust the legs.
Now it's in the right place at the height, this 249kg baby is going nowhere
