Stunning piece
I take it you then did a little burning to the wood or is that natural colour?
What size is it.?

Hi Wheelinround , the black parts were obtained with the fire, the bright parts of the excavations are chemically bleached (strong ammonia and hydrogen peroxide 130 volumes, careful use outdoors and protective gloves) All other parts are brushed and finished oil, lots of work, different techniques , for a great experience ... the diameter is about 37 cm. (14.56 inch) ..... thanks for your comment ..

francè, you post another inspirational piece.
I see you've progressed the idea of carving away of part of the work using the growth rings as a guide.
Thanks for showing us you work.Dragonfly
