    Default fallen tallowood tree

    hi guys,
just thought some of you might find this large old
tallowood tree of interest, a couple of months ago it fell over in bad weather and was right across the road
council removed the top and opened the road but the main trunk
has been there for a while, untill rta moved in and cut it up in to
    movable pieces

this is our own van passing by to give a scale of things
am glad we were not going by when it fell

this last piece had to be cut in half long ways
    approx. lengh was 150 mts
    weight 160 tonnes
it took 16 tipper loads to take it all away
now all i have to do is find out WHERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
    cheers smiife

You didn't ask to have a meter long block stuffed into your van?
So much timber, so little time.
