good friend
I was given 7 of these lumber cutoffs by a friend who thought I might be able to use them instead of putting them in the firewood pile. He has more that will be coming soon.
They are birch, from crotch pieces.
They are now packed in dry wood shavings in a box for a few weeks to dry without cracking I HOPE.
Each will allow roughing out a 330mm x 50mm thick blank.

Good score. It's a nice turning timber.
I've found non-crotch lengths to be pretty stable.Cheers, Ern
