    Hi Bob,

I can't help with either option as i'm only new to this myself sorry - but why is the slow speed grinder a better option?

Sorry if this isn't the correct place to ask.

    Regards.

This is a Ford vs Chevy arguement. If you ask 10 turners which is best, you will get 15 replies.

Personally I have a Tormek and wouldn't advise otherwise. Yes they are more expensive but the quality between their jigs and others is undebatable (if that's a word, if not let's make it one).
I cut it twice and it's still to short.
