I don't know much about it and can't help at all about value, but it looks to me like quite a nice lathe.

Edit: Looks like Grizzly in the US sells it for about US$1000 G1495 Heavy-Duty Wood Lathe
No real idea how that compares to Aussie prices, but to give you some idea, this one at Grizzly is US$1500 G0632 16" x 42" Variable Speed Wood Lathe and seems to be the same or similar as this one from Hafco for about AU$1750 W387 | WL-46A Electronic Variable Speed Wood Lathe | machineryhouse.com.au
The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

Usually something used sells for 50 to 75% of new. Yours is like new, so 75%, and has a chuck which will add $100 - $200 to the value. If there are chisels, grinder, tailstock center set, etc, that will add value.

If the price gets close to new price with terms of sale; as is, where is, one may as well buy new and get a warranty.

It is not in your best interest to offer a warranty, as any defect, real or imagined, may come to haunt you.

Here is one new that sold for $534, plus buyers premium of $72.09, plus VAT:

Woodworking Lathe, Hafco model WL-14, S/n 94050; 240v plug-in; approx 900mm Auction (0018-52855) | GraysOnline Australia

We have no idea of condition.

Your best solution would be to make a list of everything pertaining to the lathe, get prices of new, ask 80% for the total including VAT and negotiate from there.

I am sure others will have suggestions.
So much timber, so little time.

Thats one smick looking lathe clean tidy with looks like quite a bit of additional tooling. Behind I see what maybe a copy attachement bar, sander disc on the headstock, various tools posts, chuck face plate.

As said if there are other bits n pieces available it could fetch a decent price but also considering age. The phone number attached is pre-9 so about 10 yrs or more give Hare & Forbes a call he Junction"

I am definitely interested in this lathe. Just waiting to see what kind of price will be placed on it.

Everything I have looked at lately is to far away.

I thought they stopped making these years ago.

They were also known as H 1000 and sold under a few different brand names. Not the same as the General H 1000.

I had one exactly the same with a Woodfast badge on it.

They have a rail along the back that holds that big clear guard.

Officially members would not be able to do that as auction are not allowed on this forum. After you have an indication of what value this might be you can create another thread in this sub forum. WOODWORK - Tools & Machinery MARKET

Please also take a look at these forum rules for posting in the market place.
