    Can't say I've ever heard of using 316SS for turning tools... and at 100 a piece... don't think so.

    Boring bars or hollowing bars to which you fit your cutter. What makes it idea is that the 316 is super stiff, stiffer than 4140 high tensile and at this price way cheaper at roughly $50 for 10
