    Default Help needed with finding some information

    Hi I have a 1995 Hafco woodlathe that I'm trying to figure out what thread type and size so I can get some faceplate and a chuck or two sorry about the photos as I'm cleaning shed

    Those were 1 inch 10 tip mostly I think. That’s what it looks like too.

    Measure the dia as best you can , it will be in round numbers ie 1" or 1"1/8. The lay your rule along the thread and measure distance between the peaks, near enough if good enough. As Bruce has mentioned 1"x 10 tpi which is 1" BSF

    Dan, Or better yet contact Hare n Forbes as the original wood lathes were Chinese generics all came with 1" x 10 tpi thread to the headstock they will confirm the specs

    Hi I measured it and it was 1 inch but I'm only getting 8 teeth per inch but dose that include the starting slope as well but I'm thinking that contacting H&F is my best choice thank you so much I thought I'd post here incase someone had one still thank you all so much for your time and effort Dan

    1” x 8tpi is also a common thread for lathes

    Take a pic with an imperial ruler on the thread and I should be able to tell you if it’s 8 or 10 tpi

    I count that as 10tpi, even though there is only about 8 threads there, it’s how many you would have over the whole inch
