    Default Help in the sutherland shire (free booze on offer)

    Hello Wood tuners

    Me and a mate are planning to make apple cider from apples (normally we just use juice from the supermarket). We are planning to build two machines to help us with this. An apple press and an apple chipper.

    The apple chipper requires a wood drum to be made with a hole though the center of it. We don't have access to a lathe to make and drill the drum.

    There is a very active group of turners at "The Cubby House " at Oyster Bay . I am sure someone there could help you . Google should find them for you.

    I am in the Gong but go past regularly, happy to give it a go if you have dimensions. Not sure where to get the oak though, I do have some but probably wont be dry for another six months.
