Hi,
I could not remember the right name for them although your heading should have jogged even my three quarters of a century old brain.
At those prices I can see a lot of pen lathes getting upgraded.

Top Hat ?.
Hi Wheelin, I've just in the process of making 3 for the Geelong Agri. Show, Vic. but I've had to put them on bases all on different heights. Yes, I just laminated all pieces of pine, the thickest I could find. Very interesting work.
Regards,
issatree.

Ya dinna read the fine print laddie.
Guess who dropped it while parting it off thought it still had plenty meat good job I used the hand saw for final cut no lathe in motion, one small dent so out came the hot water and a quick dab and its almost gone.
Sanded the base and allowing sanding sealer a few days drying prior finish applications.

Love Job.
Yes, Wheelin, mine is also a love job, but somebody has to do these things. I may get something, but I'm not betting on it.
