Turned box or what
I thought that it was about time I turned a box after seeing all the ones Sturdee is turning and making an exceptional job of.

So i found a piece of olive wood and turned this box

I think it's either a teardrop shape box on a pedestal or a fancy goblet with a witches hat.Turned box or what
But whatever you call it it's very nice.

Seven more and you'll have enough pawns for one side of a chess-set... complete with hidden suicide capsules!
(Very handy, if you play(lose?) chess the same as I inevitably do.

Like you I would lose as well I have to make another one as this was only a prototype, the next will be in two different woods

I did think about making it smaller but that meant making some smaller turning tools,this was made using full sized tools the smallest being 1/2" skew and a 1/4" spindle gouge Originally Posted by Christos
