    Was looking good as a hollow form before that!

    But, whoever gets that bowl will never know.

    My thickness gauge gets a good workout with hollow forms...: ~}

    Have done one or two of them myself smiife; rather disappointing when it happens. Been known to happen in 3 or 4 cuts if I loose track of where I'm at. Like Neil said, I give the thickness gauge quite a workout when I am getting close to final thickness.

    Don't tell anyone and they will be none the wiser. End result is what it is all about, the journey can be another story!

    Hi Neil , thats true , I would normally just toss it in the firewood pile!
    But the colour and grain pattern was really nice , so I thought I would
    finish It off......

    Nice recovery.

    And without a telltale wooden plug in-fill...
