Question How do you use the indexing jig?

I've finally got the cash together to buy a new check for my lathe, and it has indexing marks behind the chuck.

How are these supposed to be used?

    Thanks,

    Craig

I know you said you have a chuck with indexing this is a face plate or index plate which shows how the indexing is located. What you need is the bracket and leaver and pin to suit see this link

    Default Thanks!

Thanks for posting the suggestions. I like the bracket solution as I can pick up something fairly strong to do the trick and at a decent price. Not sure of the second option would work for me, but have to admire the clever design

    Default Chuck

I picked up a GPW deluxe set, which is a huge improvement over the original Carbatec 80's era finger mincer that my lathe came with.
