Cava, it is stabalized with epoxy resin. I have custom made pressure and vacuum chambers. It was done some years ago and I can only assume I used both (vacuum first for 30 min then pressure to finish the curing). However, if the gumnuts weren't being used neither the pressure nor vacuum would be needed. I use them to ensure the resin flows into all the nooks and crannies of the gumnuts.
