It’s used by patternmaker all the time and yes they have been known to turn stuff.
No figure or even grain to speak of so unless your painting it why bother.
Its also soft and dings easily but is very stable, wont move if constructed correctly.
    Using six segments works well.
Just strike them out using the radius on your dividers, bandsaw out and quick sand, glue sets of three up sand again across the face and glue to the other three.
PVA or a modern derivative is all you need, rubbed joints ok.
    Time is money.

Yes it’s excellent for mock ups etc.
I did a chair in it years back, to prove the construction and sitability
It wouldn’t have survived real use so scrapped it after.

I'd say, there is nothing wrong with Jelutong for turning, nice shallow cuts, and steady as she goes. results speak for themselves.

Yep, I’d say there’s certainly nothing wrong with it at all. Nice.

I must say though, i wouldn't recommend it, it was like butter and i think the fact that i had it all veneered made it that much stronger. it is very very soft. i do however like how it soaked up some of the saw dust from the wenge and on the inside it managed to infiltrate the minimal grain in the Jel making it stand out a bit more.
