    Default Latest work

    Hello All
Took a bit of leave from work to get on top of the turning, still haven't managed to achieve that, but here are some bowls and items I have turned in the last two weeks. All the timbers are either Jarrah, Jarrah burl and one in Sheoak. All are finished in Danish oil
Most bowls are least 300mm across.
The small bud vases I have turned as I have heaps of small offcuts and can never think what to do with them.
The candle holder is from an old Christmas present, the stand the glass sits in was cheap and nasty, and now I have a dozen glass holders to insert into turned wooden holders.
Hope there isn't too many photos
    Cheers

Nice pieces there Willy. Love the finish on the Sheoak bowl. Are the small forms Jarrah or is there some Marri/Karri in there?
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

    Hello Corbs
Yep, I forgot to mention the camphor bud vases, being a weed and all. Well picked up.

    Good work

Nice wood and I like your clock. Only trouble with all that turning is finding the shed floor again!

    Cheers,

Willy, very very nice turnings, looks very good to me.
I bet you forgot while turning, that you have to go to your work the other day.
Being retired just like me, means that I never has that thoughts anymore

    Nice work there Willy

I got a whole heap of those glasses and candles from Crazy Clarkes the other day, they were selling them for $1 for a matching pair. I must do something with them soon.
